Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter wins Wreaths Across America Chapter Challenge

Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter wins Wreaths Across America Chapter Challenge

Members of the chapter sponsored 144 wreaths total.

Congratulations to the PMTA Philadelphia / Delaware Valley Chapter for sponsoring 144 wreaths and winning the PMTA Chapter Challenge.

As National Wreaths Across America Day approaches this weekend, PMTA has tallied the scores and determined a winner.

This year, PMTA members sponsored 507 wreaths total, which put PMTA in the second-place slot, tied with the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, in the contest between State Trucking Associations.

All of the funds donated will sponsor wreaths to be placed on veterans' headstones at national military cemeteries on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, 2024.

The competition has been fierce, and the South Central and Lehigh Chapters put up a good fight, but Philly prevailed.

It is not too late to get involved. If you'd like to give before Wreaths Across America Day, and give through PMTA's link, your donation will count towards 2025.

If you'd like to volunteer, or view a wreath laying ceremony, click here and select "Volunteer."

If you are participating on Wreaths Across America Day, or are involved in hauling wreaths, please send pictures to PMTA's Director of Communications, Megan Magensky at mmagensky@pmta.org
