PMTA is first and foremost a membership organization. Its strength comes from the commitment of its members, and the mission of the association is to support, advocate for, and grow its membership. The stronger PMTA’s membership, the better it can fulfill its mission. During the past two years of the pandemic, PMTA was able to continue to provide programming and support during a very challenging period for the industry. The members who have supported us during this time have been steadfast in ensuring that PMTA continues to lead the trucking community in Pennsylvania.

As we turn the corner to 2022, it’s time to focus on membership again. PMTA is launching a new program this year and recommitting to a traditional one, both of which are intended to grow our membership and strengthen our voice for the trucking community.

2022 Chapter Challenge

The 2022 Chapter Challenge will reward the single PMTA chapter that is able to grow its membership by the highest percentage during the calendar year. Every chapter represents PMTA in their local community, and their members are colleagues and associates of other local businesspeople. They are often the first encounter these companies have with PMTA, so chapters are membership representatives in their communities.  PMTA headquarters is happy to support chapters in their efforts to engage new members and thereby grow stronger. PMTA will host an event for the winning chapter at the end of the contest to celebrate their success and recognize new members. The winning chapter will also be recognized at next year’s AMC.

President’s Award

At the same time, PMTA is relaunching the President’s Award this year. The President’s Award will be presented to the single member who refers the most new members to PTMA. This contest runs during the membership year (October 1 – September 30). Please make sure headquarters knows when you refer someone for membership – when they join PMTA, they will be counted as your referral.

The winner will receive a free AMC registration as well as a meal with a guest and PMTA’s president as a special thank you. PMTA will recognize a single President’s Award winner for the 2020-21 membership years to be announced at the 2022 AMC on May 19-20. The 2022 President’s Award will be presented at the 2023 AMC.
