PMTA and Several Members Receive National Recognition for Safety

Awards Presented at ATA Safety, Security and Human Resources (SSHR) National Conference

At last weeks Safety, Security and Human Resources (SSHR) National Conference in Louisville, the American Trucking Associations’ (ATA) Safety Management Council (SMC) Conferred several prestigious awards to PMTA members.

“For trucking, safety isn’t just a box to check — it’s at the heart of what we do,” said Chris Spear ATA president, CEO. “These professionals lead by example, showing what real dedication and attention to detail looks like day in and day out. Congratulations to the recipients of this award as well as to every nominee. They reflect the high standards and integrity that define our industry.”

ATA’s President’s Trophy for carriers under 25 million miles was awarded to PMTA member Talon Logistics of Harmony, PA. Talon Logistics has evolved into a sophisticated third-party logistics provider, delivering outsourced logistics solutions that support all or part of its customers’ supply chain management needs.

Jon Sizer accepted the 2nd place award in the safe fleet flatbed division on behalf of Summers Trucking.

A. Duie Pyle brough home two 3rd place awards in Industrial and Truck Safety, General Commodities.

Anthony Cloud accepted the Magna Cum Laude award on behalf of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association.

“We’re really proud to celebrate this year’s honorees - each one of them is helping shape a stronger, safer culture all across our industry,” said SMC Executive Director Jacob Pierce. “From motor carriers to state association leaders and the drivers on the road, their efforts are essential to advancing safety, and we’re grateful for their dedication.”
