PennDOT Hazmat Fingerprinting Fee Increasing October 1
Pennsylvania drivers seeking a hazardous materials endorsement will see an increase in the fingerprinting background check fee beginning October 1, 2026.
Following a $3 increase in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s fingerprint background check fee, PennDOT’s fee for hazardous materials endorsement fingerprinting background checks will increase from $22.90 to $25.90.
The new fee takes effect Thursday, October 1, 2026.
PennDOT has updated its customer reference materials to reflect the change.
