PA Turnpike partnering with PMTA to offer 3 driver appreciation events in April

Truck drivers welcome to service plaza events for giveaways and drawings

Truck driver appreciation is coming early this year for truck drivers on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Through a partnership with PMTA, the Turnpike Commission is offering three driver appreciation events in April at service plazas throughout the state, including:

April 11: Highspire, 7-11 am

April 14: Valley Forge/King of Prussia, 7-11 am

April 28: South Somerset, 7-11 am

"We're excited to partner with the Turnpike for these spring events," said Rebecca Oyler, PMTA President & CEO. "Truck driver appreciation is a year-round effort at PMTA, and we're glad it is for the Turnpike too," she said. "We drive alongside truckers every day while they work hard to deliver the goods that keep our economy strong. Let's take some time to recognize and thank them for their efforts."

Each service plaza event will include giveaways and a raffle, along with educational information on the Turnpike's new Open Road Tolling system, which launched east of Reading and on the entire Northeast Extension on Jan. 5, 2025. By early 2027, it will expand to the PA Turnpike’s western region.

The PA Road Team will be at each event with PMTA's No Zone truck.
