PA Truck Driving Championships This Weekend at Kalahari

This weekend, nearly 200 of Pennsylvania’s safest and most skilled commercial drivers will gather at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Mount Pocono to compete in the 2025 PMTA Truck Driving Championships — one of the premier state TDCs in the country.

Drivers will test their knowledge, precision, and professionalism in written, pre-trip, and driving skills competitions. The top winner in each of the nine classes will advance to the National Truck Driving Championships this August in Minneapolis, where Pennsylvania has earned 17 State Team Awards and a strong reputation as a fierce competitor.

Bob Dolan, this year’s TDC Committee Chairman, brings exceptional experience to the role, having competed in 16 NTDCs and earned 14 national awards, including National Grand Champion. "Thank you to all of our contestants," said Bob. "Your commitment and passion to safety each and every day prove you are the best of the best."

PMTA is honored to welcome Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Mike Carroll, who will speak at the awards dinner on Saturday night, where every driver will be recognized for their skill and safety, and winners will receive their trophies.

The event is open to the public and the media on Saturday, and the Driving Competition begins at 8 a.m. Scores will be posted on PMTA’s website, and thanks to CNS Companies, you can follow the livestream on PMTA’s Facebook page. You can also catch the livestream here.

To all our competitors: Your commitment to safety, preparation, and excellence truly makes you the best of the best. Good luck this weekend — we’re proud to have you represent Pennsylvania.
