National Recognition for Trucking — and a Proud Moment for PMTA

A major national honor for the trucking industry is also a proud moment for PMTA.
The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has honored the Trucking Association Executives Council (TAEC) Task Force with the 2026 Mike Russell Trucking Image Award, recognizing its work to strengthen trucking’s image, promote safety and advocate for fairness across the industry.
For PMTA, this recognition hits close to home. President and CEO Rebecca Oyler is a member of the TAEC committee, connecting PMTA to the collaborative efforts being recognized on the national stage. This award shines a spotlight on the important work taking place across the trucking association community — work that helps protect responsible carriers, improve safety and ensure trucking’s vital role in America is understood and valued.

This recognition is a significant achievement for the trucking association community and a proud moment for PMTA. Having our own president and CEO involved in the work being honored nationally reinforces the importance of PMTA’s role in the broader industry and the value of having Pennsylvania’s trucking community represented in these conversations.
