The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) is pleased to report that Anthony Cloud, Director of Safety and Education, completed the Industry Roadside Inspection Vehicle Requirements Training Course, conducted in Austin, TX, from July 28 – August 1, 2025. The course offers a comprehensive review of vehicle-related regulatory requirements under FMCSA Parts 393, 396, and Appendix A, along with hands‑on instruction using the CVSA North American Standard Level I Inspection Procedure and North American Standard Out‑of‑Service Criteria. 

• Navigate FMCSA requirements under Parts 393, 396, and Appendix A
• Conduct Level I inspections following CVSA guidelines
• Identify and apply Out‑of‑Service (OOS) Criteria associated with vehicle components
• Develop and refine vehicle maintenance programs for regulatory compliance
• A thorough understanding of DATA Q challenges to roadside inspection reports which may contain errors.
