DOT and Fire Protection: What You Should Know

You probably know that OSHA regulations require that employers have portable fire extinguishers maintained in a fully charged and operable condition, and that they are kept in their designated place at all times. You may also know that they are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and testing of these extinguishers. But did you know that employers are also responsible for training employees on the use of extinguishers and their hazards? Do you know how to choose the appropriate type of fire extinguisher for your conditions and vehicles? 

Ken Goss will provide attendees with all the details of a responsible fire protection program in your business.  

Ken has an extensive background in the Fire Service.  He has 30 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter and 5 years as a Fire Protection Specialist.  His certifications include OSHA 30 and 511 as well as NFPA 10.  He is also a PMTA Board Member and serves on multiple committees.
