Launched in 2024, Women in Motion (WIM) has rapidly become the second largest council within American Trucking Associations (ATA). The council is committed to supporting women in the trucking industry by providing top-notch training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, while recognizing their valuable contributions. WIM champions policies and initiatives to create lasting industry improvements. WIM strives to ensure women have the resources and opportunities to thrive in every area of trucking, from behind the wheel to leadership roles. 

At this day and half conference, hosted by PMTA member and founding WIM sponsor FedEx, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in networking and participate in interactive panels and invigorating discussions celebrating the achievements of women in the trucking industry. 

PMTA is proud to have state Senator Judy Ward and PA State Treasurer Stacy Garrity participate in this event. 

PA Treasurer Stacy Garrity's Leading with Integrity: Transparency, Financial Empowerment, and Service session will take place on Wednesday, July 9 at 1:25 pm. She will share insights on her work to bring transparency, efficiency, and financial empowerment to the Commonwealth. 

PA State Senator Judy Ward will discuss Inside Pennsylvania: Policy, Progress, and Growth at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9. Senator Ward is the Chair of the PA Senate Transportation Committee, and she will discuss firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the Commonwealth. 

PMTA President & CEO Rebecca Oyler will participate in an Advocacy 101 panel discussion with colleagues working at both the state and federal levels at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 9. The session will focus on how to communicate with elected officials and delve into strategies to push your issues forward.
